Michael Funge, A member of Ireland’s Famed Group “The Irish Variety Show” was born in County Wexford, in the South East of the Emerald Isle. When he is not touring with "The Irish Variety Show ", he is a regular musician/entertainer in Universal Studios, Orlando.  Or, you can be catch him entertaining in one of the many finer hostelries all over Florida.
“Funge’s style of Irish  Music has been applauded by young and old, whether at a "Hooley" in “the cousin’s kitchen“, the grander of The Royal Albert Hall, London, or on stage in the prestigious Carnegie Hall, New York in which he has just recently appeared. ” (Brisbane times.)

He has been the opening act for many of the great Irish Artists, Christy Moore, Johnny McEvoy, “The Wolf Tones”, Daniel O’Donnell, Colum Wilkinson (of “Les Miserable’s” fame), Comedian Dave Allen, Foster & Allen, To name but a few. 
He has made many appearances on RTE, (Irish Radio & TV ) and on BBC and ITV (British TV and Radio). 

Since relocating to Florida, he has regularly toured in the United States and Canada with some of the most famous Irish Touring Companies/Groups, appearing in venues such asLouise M. Davies Symphony Hall San Francisco, The Opera House Chicago.

 One of his proudest moments was performing on stage in The Carnegie Hall N.Y.  for a St. Patrick’s Day Celebration Concert. He has of course appeared in the “other and Original Carnegie Hall” in Scotland. !

He has regularly performed with Ireland’s No 1 Ballad/Folk Group “The Dublin City Ramblers” at many of the largest US Irish Summer Music Festivals.

Just now he is planning, a return tour of New Zealand and Australia with Barry Collins and “The Irish Variety Show”.
